Mythic Fire hasn’t got much going on that qualifies as “news” these days. With one member of the troupe now chronically ill, and another too busy to participate on any regular basis, our primary focus is maintaining our Whirlygig practice sessions, every Sunday night in SoMa (weather permitting). Started in the spring of 2001, Whirlygig is one of the longest continuously running fire- and spinning-practice sessions in the San Francisco Bay Area.
Now that the sun is going down a little later every evening, we’ve set Whirlygig’s start time at 6:30 p.m., with sessions generally ending between 9:00 and 9:30. We’ll shift the start time once again at Daylight Savings changeover.
In the meantime, Mythic Fire is no longer performing on any regular basis — and even calling it an “irregular basis” would be stretching matters a bit. This news page will likewise not be updated very regularly, as there’s nothing much to report here.
